6.Conformance

An implementation is a conforming producer if it emits only registered ids, in range, with correct handedness and group assignment.

An implementation is a conforming consumer if it: clamps to [−1, 1]; applies registry defaults for absent dimensions; renders pose correctly with expression ignored; and, if it supports expression, applies clamp(pose ⊕ α·expression) over affect groups only. For calibrated arm placement, it MUST apply the fixed-reference axis definitions and normalization in §4.1.

A consumer MAY ignore hyper conditions (the pure decode of P MUST still be correct). A consumer that supports contact MUST solve it as post-processing on the fully decoded body, MUST NOT move the target side or torso, and MUST NOT alter P. A consumer that supports anchor MUST resolve it as post-processing per arm side (only sides carrying the annotation move; torso untouched), MUST give contact priority on the contact's mover side, and MUST NOT alter P; an unresolvable site falls back to the neck origin.

Conformance is stated against a specific version, e.g. "conforms to IPL 1.1.2".
